The F1 currently supports the SIA-DC09 version 2007 standard, which encapsulates SIA-DC03 version 1990 frames. Two new standards allowing a greater source of information have now come into force.

SIA-DC09 R2013

Optional information added:

  • Transmitter
    • Transmitter Authentication
    • MAC address of the transmitter
  • Date and time of occurrence of the event
  • URL to access a video
  • Site
    • Name of the site
    • Name of the building
    • Label of the event place
    • GPS & altitude location of the event
    • Identification of the room where the event takes place

This information is available as an option.

What are the benefits?

Transmitters currently on the market incorporate this standard thus ensuring compatibility with F1. Users are therefore able to process information more specifically & accurately.

SIA-DC03 R2003

The standard changes the structure of the information frame.
Thanks to this standard, each element has a wording:

  • alarm type : window intrusion
  • area : Ground floor meeting room

What are the benefits?

The data entry on the MIS is considerably reduced since the alarm transmitter itself describes the event: “Window intrusion in Ground floor meeting room”. The operator saves time because he doesn’t have to register this information.

The former standard allowed only one wording for the set, not including a full description and requiring to register data on the MIS.
